The bun to filling ratio is off the charts. The barbecue was so fat and juicy. The Brisket Chili has a whole layer of cheese on top and I'm ridiculously lactose intolerant but it was so worth it. I wish my stomach was younger so I could enjoy more of it. Definitely not a light meal, but that's not what you're ordering barbecue for anyway.

Smokin D's is my favorite (and arguably the best) BBQ in the Bay. As a Texpat, I have high standards for brisket and from the first time I tried the brisket bao to the Brisket Sandwich (overflowijg with brisket!) it's the platonic ideal. I was also impressed by the Mac and cheese.
The only thing that would make it better is if they served breakfast tacos!

The Smoked Chicken Tamales had slightly smoky, tender meat. The O.G. Brisky Bao and Korean Cowboy were filled with meat encased in fluffy buns. Would order again!

Pulled Pork Sandwich was great! lots of meat, pickles added a nice brightness, sauce on point.
