Best pizza in the Canton/Akron area. Crust is crispy but soft in middle and not too doughy, sauce flavor and amount is perfect, they short you on cheese like other places, and the ingredients are fresh - it's a marked difference in quality. Recommend adding the yummy balsamic glaze if that's your thing, too. LOVE this place!

This is incredibly, amazingly, wonderfully good pizza. I finally have a pizza that I can enjoy without guilt: I get the vegetarian with every possible vegetable I can imagine, with tomato sauce and olive oil. Goat cheese(just because I love goat cheese). My penance for getting the goat cheese is no mozzarella or provolone -- but this pizza is so good that I don't need any more cheese. I even get thespelt crust with whole wheat,normally I'm not crazy about whole wheat, but the flavors of this wonderful pizza are so terrific that I never notice that the crust isn't white flour.
All-in-all, I couldn't have invented a healthier choice than this pizza. Even my husband (who normally runs for the hills if I tell him something is good for him) loves this pizza.
Their salads are also beautifully prepared and delicious...a meal in their own rights.
For those who want their pizza to be as it's always been, Sol has plenty of topping and cheese choices. For those who, like me, are trying to eat in a more health conscious manner, this is heaven. This pizza is prepared beautifully, and with great thought and conscious care.
You can have pizza---and be healthy too!
I called after the first time I ordered from them, to tell them what a fantastic meal we had had. Therein lies my only mild criticism: the (very young) man to whom I spoke, who said he was the manager, seemed to have absolutely no response to a customer who called to compliment the food. He could barely handle the one word he did manage to say, "Okay." He repeated that several times, with a question mark after each "Okay?" He never even said "thank you" for the compliment. I believe a little customer relations training may be in order ;)
We chuckle over that small issue.

Wonderful mix of flavors, unusual ingredients like sautéed portobello mushrooms and candied jalapeños.
I requested sundried tomatoes, which weren't on the list of options for my salad, but they are always cooperative with special requests. The sun-dried tomatoes really added to the flavor of my salad.
The candied jalapeños are so good that, even though they really are hot, I order them every time!
All-in-all, Sol Pizza Pie is a top-notch gourmet restaurant, with fresh, interesting flavors. The food is well-prepared, ingredients are always fresh, salad greens are never brown, and orders are prepared carefully and accurately.
I especially like the recyclable cardboard bowls!

This is the second time we've ordered from here and so far we have tried both styles of pizza and the cheesy bread. The Detroit style, while delicious, is absolutely not worth it. The size is close to a small pizza, enough for 2 people, but the price is the same as an extra large artisan?! The "artisan" pizza options are the way to go here. Good flavors, but you're not getting ripped off. As for the quality: topping quality and amount is good, crust texture is ok, poor structural integrity of the crust means you may need lots of napkins and a plate, freshness is fantastic, price for quality is below average. If they rework the pricing structure this place could easily become a go to pizza joint. The cheesy bread is great, a little greasy for my taste, but that's hard to avoid with anything cheesy tbh.

The sol sub is hit or miss. If you get it on a good day the sub is amazing, sauce is fantastic and the bun perfect. Other days everything is just very disappointing.
Always order and pay for extra sauce and don't get it half the time. My most recent order I received what looked like ranch instead of the normal sauce. Bun was very skinny and hard.
The crispy potatoes that come with it are always perfect. If you actually get the extra sauce you pay for it's delicious to dip the potatoes in.
