Make your own bowl with all your faves. I did krack n cheese, greens, soul rice, candied yams and fried chicken bites. Perfect. Make sure you have something COLD to drink to top it off! :). Order it!

Ummm so yeah I WILL be ordering from here again...Soul Bowl indeed...comfort food! Delish! Like Sunday dinner at Grandmas! And the Mac and Cheese Yam eggroll...I wasn't sure about...but Lawd have mercy...yumm. Don't believe me...give it a whirl.

It was my first time trying this restaurant. It was ok. I am honestly pretty spoiled from the truly authentic soul food restaurants down in the Washington DC area, but I am disappointed to hear that you don't normally have Whiting as an option at your location. The Build Your Own Bowl with fried chicken wings was pretty good. The wings were pretty basic. The mac and cheese and candied yams were better. The soul rice was not good. I thought the Soul Roll was quite good. Please consider having Whiting because that is a true soul food restaurant staple.

Soul bowl is definitely my new go to! Their flavor is great and the proportions were bigger than I expected. My only regret was not ordering 2 soul rolls with the yams lol. It looked so good that I forgot to take a photo and dove right in. I purchased the Soul Roll, Sautéed Shrimp & MAC Bowl, Chicken & MAC Bowl, and Collard Greens. All delicious and fresh quality!

!!!! everything was SO good. The (2) Soul Rolls really surprised me, I was a little bit unsure about the mac and cheese + candied yams combo, but I'm so glad I tried them out. I also had the Build Your Own Bowl with fried chicken, mac and cheese, candied yams, and collard greens. I think in the future I'd get a side of the collard greens instead of in a bowl (without a rice base). Mac and cheese is incredible!
