• DoorDash orderThe SOUL ROLL was pretty good, mostly dough but filling was good. V. MAC & CHEESE and SWEET POTATOES were phenomenal! Would for sure order again, minus the rolls. Great job yall!

• DoorDash orderI ordered from this restaurant plenty of times. But this time and the last was not good. Salmon was over cooked with barely filling inside. Mac n cheese was just noodles wheres the cheese? the greens was ok but it wasnt fresh greens taste like out the can. The cornbread was probably the best thing and you cant mess up on jiffy cornbread. I dont know if they changed chefs or something but quality been terrible and too pricey for that. Sorry wont be returning to the west side location. The Orland Park one is definitely better

up ordering a mango /peach slushie with my food and it was amazing.
The FRIED CHICKEN WINGS were really crispy and seasoned to perfection! 10/10
The yams / mac and cheese combo , IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW! SO BOMB 10/10
The TRADITIONAL GREENS were great as well, could've had a little more pot liquor and smoked meat in the container, but it was a 8/10

• DoorDash orderOverall/generally speaking, I would definitely recommend trying it out to see if it's for you. Some things are going to depend on how you were raised on soul food. I really enjoyed most things that I tried with a couple of caveats. I've had the stuffed chicken and stuffed salmon and truly enjoyed both. I've also had the fried catfish and blackened catfish and loved them both. Their macaroni and cheese is really good, however, it is more casserole than creamy and some people dont like that. My guess is that like me, they prepare it with egg to bind it together. I prefer it that way because that's how I ate it as a kid and how I learned to prepare it. Their collard greens are FIRE and so are the salmon bites. Now, on to the things I did not dislike but didn't enjoy as much. The garlic mashed potatoes were just OK. The creamed corn was less creamed corn-ish and more borderline succotash-ish. Again, OK but not great. They both also had a sweetness to them which was odd in the potatoes and too much in the corn. I have also had th lasagna. Also oddly sweet - you need just a touch of sugar to cut the acidity of the tomato sauce but this was noticeably sweet. I dont recommend it for that reason and because it is nothing like an Italian lasagna at all. The peach cobbler was WAY too sweet and the crust was burned. Their lemonades tho? Very sweet but VERY VERY yummy.

• DoorDash ordergreens 10/10 hands down. tasted like I was back at the Thanksgiving table
ordered the Mac n cheese and yams with the SOUTHERN STYLE CATFISH and both sides were pleasant to eat. Not a huge fan of the blackened catfish however. it's tender so that's good but the flavor isn't my cup of tea. I'd definitely order from here again to try other foods.
