I was genuinely blown away by my dining experience at South Paw AVL. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The Ribeye Entree was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor—definitely worth every penny. I paired it with a Risotto Side that was creamy and rich, a perfect complement to the steak.The Blackened Chicken Sandwich was another standout—juicy, with just the right amount of spice, and the side of crispy fries was the perfect addition. For an appetizer, I opted for the Brussels App, and I’m so glad I did! The Brussels sprouts were crispy and had a great balance of savory and sweet flavors.To round out the meal, I treated myself to their rotating Cheese Cake for dessert. It was indulgent without being overly sweet—just the right finish to an amazing meal. Even the FeverTree Grapefruit Soda was a refreshing choice that I’d recommend to anyone looking for a non-alcoholic option.Overall, South Paw AVL exceeded my expectations with its creative and flavorful dishes.

The duck breast was over cooked. There were about 8 pieces of gnocchi and 5 long strips of carrots, both were good though. Disappointing for a $30 entree. I’ve ordered here 3 times and only 1 of those meals was fully enjoyable. This was my last time as the food is too inconsistent.
