The Super Bacon Cheeseburger was AWESOME as usual!!
The HomeMade Fries is the reason that I rate this Diner as:
The ABSOLUTE BEST Burger and Fries restaurant that I have ever eaten. I have eaten at over 50 different Burger and Fries Restaurants in my lifetime.
The Spillway Diner makes the BEST Burger (I had the Super Bacon Cheeseburger) as well as the ABSOLUTE BEST & AMAZING Homemade Fries on the planet. I LOVE Fries and I will Always give my business to the restaurant that makes the best Homemade Fries.
My late mother made fabulous Homemade Fries in a Cast-Iron Skillet (same type as the one she used for her fabulous homemade Corn Bread ((from scratch)). My late mother would cut the potatoes up about 5 hours before she was going to cook them. She would then place them in a very large Tupperware Bowl filled with Ice and Water, so the potatoes would stay fresh and ready for moms magic.
Mom would get the Cast Iron Skillet very hot from the Oven and add Crisco (from a large can). She would season the potatoes just right and after the little hamburger patties were ready to be cooked and the Homemade Cornbread from a Cast Iron Skillet was cooked (she would leave the cornbread in the oven on warm), my late mom would do her magic and cook the best Fries in which there was no comparison. This is the reason why if a Restaurant is going to use the term:
“Homemade Fries” they better be actually homemade!!!
Spillway Diner makes the best Bacon Cheeseburger and Homemade Fries that I have ever eaten. They Chefs take pride in their work and will cook you the best meal, that is on their menu. They are only open from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm (sometimes 3), so if I am craving their Burger and Homemade Fries, I will get up around 4:00am and watch a movie until 6:09am then just as they open, I place my order.
Spillway Diner is extremely consistent with their offerings. I have been disappointed only a few times. Once I got rice instead of fries with my Super Bacon Cheeseburger and a couple of times I was disappointed in the amount of Fries that I received and that is all. I have been eating here for several years and if I could change a couple of things it would be their store hours (open until 10:00pm) and that they would move to place right next to me with a private hallway for me to use to get the food and return home.
Do yourself and your family n friends a favor and insist on eating at Spillway Diner for the entree of your choosing, just make sure it comes their AWESOME Homemade Fries. Tell them that Shane recommends the SuperBacon Cheeseburger with Fries!

Another new eatery for me to try. Get the MVP Breakfast. It was amazing. Everything cooked to order. The bacon was sooo crispy. Eggs over easy great. The hash browns and the waffle sooo hot and full of flavor. A new addition to my Door Dash family.
