This is not Tex-Mex and packed full of flavor. But it's better! This place definitely stands out compared to other Mexican restaurants. It leans more on the authentic side, than Tex-Mex/American Mexican side, and I love that! The food was light in flavor, not heavy or super greasy. Juicy, yes! The Queso / Cheese was so good! Not thick like most queso, but still super good! The Frijol y Queso / Beans and Cheese was good for the price. The Frijoles / Beans and Arroz / Rice were basic, but still good. The Quesataco de Birria de Res / Beef Birria Cheesy Taco was good and lighter than expected and the Asada, Tripa o Cabeza / Steak, Beef Tripe, Beet Head was super meaty! I could definitely order here again and explore more of the menu!
