Been coming to this Family-Owne establishment for 30 years. Phenomenal sandwiches, and incredible service. Its hard with a few other local sandwich shops that are bomb as well, to say this is the BEST sub shop around me, but it is ALWAYS thee best when im ordering from them. Will never disappoint.

Usually everything is great when I order from Submarina but this time it wasn't. I was excited to try the msc salad so I added it as a side to my sandwich. I paid $3.99 for the Macsalad. When it arrived, the amount of salad was that of a half filled Dixie cup. The sandwhich did not present well- the spinach appeared wilted and the cheese looked melted even though I did not ask for it to be toasted. Also the pickles on the side seemed old because there were different colors. Needless to day, a Friday treat turned into a disappointment .. , ,

I have been eating at Submarina in the late 80's when submarina was next to the old cal stores on valley pkwy. . The subs were so delicious. Then they moved to the location by Albertsons, was still good because 2 of the OG girls still worked there for awhile..soon as they left place went downhill! $13 for a sub with hardly any meat and just doesn't taste like submarina any more! I tried 3 times to get a hot pastrami from there.. all 3 times.. hardly toasted, pastrami cold and hardly any pastrami! Not that difficult to make a HOT pastrami sandwich! I'm done trying to get a decent sandwich there anymore!
