The Taj Mahal is the best Indian Restaurant I've ever been to. I've been to a few, here in Lancaster, and a couple in Harrisburg, and one or two in the Jersey Shore area. Taj Mahal beats all of them, and one of the ways is through being able to pick your preferred level of spicy-ness. But most of all, all the dishes I have ever tried, just simply taste better. None of the others compare, quite like Taj Mahal.
This evening I was craving lamb, and I knew, the best way for me to have it, is in Indian food. It did not disappoint. The combination of the flavors in the sauce, the taste of the lamb, and its' tenderness were simply superb.
The Navaratan Korma dish is my second favorite vegetable meal, next to Malai Kofta. Any Korma dish is a great choice. It's a always been my favorite sauce. I love the cashews in it.

I am never disappointed in anything I've ever ordered from Taj. Everything is packaged nicely, the portions are perfect for the price and the food is absolutely delicious 10/10 for me

I don't get to have delivery as often as I used to. Being on a fixed income, and the greediness of the big corporations makes a delivery of my favorite foods, from my favorite restaurant, a very special treat. So, it's been awhile since I ordered from TajMahal. I have to say, 'What happened to the Chana Chat?' It seems such a simple dish(Garam Masala is a very expensive spice, and that's why I haven't made my own) I mean, I know potatoes are less expensive than chick peas, but there were not many chick peas in my order. The ingredients of the dish used to almost spill out over the container when I opened it, but not this time. It was really missing the mark. I was disappointed.
Malai Kofta is my favorite dish from Taj Mahal. It was missing some sweetness. I fixed it with just two teaspoons of sugar.
Something isn't right with the Korma Sauce. I don't know what it is. I'll try to figure it out later.
The desert, Kheer was not packaged in such a way that it would be cold, or even at room temperature when I got it. It is in the fridge, now. I'll have it later.
Anyway, I guess I was disappointed, overall, but I still love Taj Mahal. I still think they are the best Indian Restaurant around here. Maybe I just hit them on an 'off' night.

The Chicken Makhani (butter chicken) is the best I have had in a long, long time. I wasn't familiar with their "heat" scale, so I went with an 8, which was perfect -- maybe too hot for most familiar with Chicken Makhani. It's not often that you have a choice to spice-up your butter chicken. It was just PERFECT!! The portion was large, so I only ate the first half, scooping it up with the excellent garlic naan. I will eat the rest as a separate meal and use the rice since I have no naan left. Good Job Taj Mahal.

My favorite dishes at this restaurant are the vegetable dishes. Malai Kofta has the best sauce of any of the items on the menu. Navratan Korma (or any Korma) is my second favorite. I used to love getting any lamb dishes from this restaurant, and they still offer ground lamb, but not regular (cooked or roasted) lamb) I guess it got to expensive to keep on the menu. Kheer is the best dessert item, next to the Gulab Jaman. I love it that it's possible to get a pint of Korma sauce for about $6. When the budget won't budge, this item and your favorite naan is a good way to go. Love the Taj Mahal restaurant. It's the best around. I've tried some others. Taj Mahal, all the way.
