Taqueria El Castillito is a long-standing taqueria in San Francisco. Started by a Dad and his friends in the 80's, it has stood the test of time. It began as a way to express his love for his food and…
A solid Super Burrito made with chicken. Plain Flour Quesadilla was super great with yummy cheese. The Quesadilla El Castillito had a lot of great ingredients but eat it first so it doesn't get soggy.

This has been consistently my favorite Taqueria since 1999. The ingredients are good, well seasoned and the meat is juicy, the choices are straightforward, and the Salsa Verde is the best in the city. The workers are also the living definition of professional.

Worst Breakfast Burrito I've ever had... it was literally just all meat? They maybe put half a scrambled egg in there and then some roughly diced jalapeno and tomato and that's it. And the meat that was in there was dry. Huge waste of money, ended up just eating the food I had at home instead. Bummer

The burritos are phenomenal but the "guacamole" is aweful.
The "guacamole" costs $10-11 and tastes like something that came out of a jar. I dont think there is much (or any) avocado in this. The price for this is outrageous.

This place may be fine for some orders. It certainly was not great for the All Meat Burrito with Marinated Pork, Lettuce, Beans, and Guacamole. The pork was literally charred to a crisp -- about a third of it was totally black the rest had black edges of varying degree. Couldn't say there was any more guacamole than the default you get but it wasn't much. The whole Wheat tortilla seemed like it suffered an equally brutal temperature. I certainly would not recommend anyone order this and I would be leery of anything made with the Pastor.
