A SAN FRANCISCO FAVORITE Ten-ichi is a historic, family-owned, Zagat rated Japanese restaurant in Pacific Heights, San Francisco, CA. Same owner and location for 40+ years.
We had a tasty assortment of appetizers, plus pork katsu and chicken teriyaki. The gyoza and panko shrimp were good. The chicken karage was delicious!

Sashimi portions were incredibly small and poorly cut. Wild Japanese Mushroom Miso Soup with kimchi was delicious.

So gross. Really wanted to support this neighborhood spot but there's a reason there are never any people inside. The fish is far from fresh, it's straight funky. I had to spit it out. Threw everything away.

hoale chips - you get 3 small pieces with a dinky amount of fish. the chips came soggy.
gyoza was undercooked.
fatty roll only came in 4 pieces.
