Texan Cafe & Pie Shop hits it out of the park. The Chicken Fried Steak is the best I've had locally and their Oreo Cookie Pie . I'm not a pie person in general, but their pie is perfect and the crust is so flaky and moist, they could totally convert me from all other desserts.

I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken, Chicken Fried Steak, and Cobb Salad for the family and it was all delicious and still crispy when delivered! Love love love their Cobb Salad its definitely the best salad in town with home made ranch! Mmm!

Steak was overcooked, very dry. I orered it medium did not receive as ordered. Ordered Mac and cheese got green beans, yuck do not like their green beans at all. Okra was soggy.
Chicken fried chicken was not cooked through, could not eat it.
Quality has really gone down here. At least one thing on each order recently is always wrong.
Think this was my last order.

Very sad, we live eating at this restaurant but have now had delivered twice and both were terrible. Ordered a fried catfish sandwich which was practically missing the catfish - one small sliver that covered less than a quarter of the bun. Mashed potatoes orders with the grilled sausage were so greasy and flavorless. Only redeeming part were the pies.

Tonight I had a New York strip, corn, mashed potatoes and a salad from Texas Cafe and Pie Shop. Hands down this is the best takeout anywhere from Georgetown to Taylor. The chef perfectly prepared the steak to medium rare and it was well seasoned. If you treat yourself to this meal you will be in heaven!
