The Chocolate Moose is the sequel to Mays Café, opened in 1933 by Cletus May after losing her production job during the Great Depression. Cletus and his wife, Elmsley, ran Mays Café for several years …
Food was great and hot! Classic coney dog and nice, crispy Potato Wedges. Fry serving size wasn't overly generous, but fair for the price.

I get this is an icecream shop but the food was kind of sad. We got about 6 Potato Wedges and that cost $5. My BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich had no BBQ on it and little meat. The only thing that looked good besides the ice cream was the Chicken Bacon Ranch

Super pleased with the items we received and the value! Definitely looking forward to visiting again to try more confections. We had the Pineapple Dole Whip/Vanilla Yogurt with red raspberry topping and a Cheesecake Shake with peanut butter swirled in. So tasty!

was expecting it to be purple, but was really delicious anyway. never had a lavender drink before, and now I think I may be obsessed. pretty small for $9, and my dasher delivered it sideways so I lost quite a bit (and dripped it all up my steps, thanks Mitchell!) a little too icy for me, idk if they sell an iced coffee version but I would prefer that.

I am a regular, and I love their home made Brown County coffee ice cream. Because I am elderly I have to order my ice cream to be delivered. Eighty percent of the time it is delivered in perfect condition. The other twenty per cent it arrives pretty badly melted. However I do not think that is the Chocolate Moose's fault. When they are dependent on others to do the delivery it is out of their hands when it leaves the store. DoorDash doesn't consistently provide the means to keep it cold. But sometimes they do and then it is perfect.
