Thanks for visiting our family-owned Hong Kong-style Cantonese restaurant. We want to bring the the tastes and culture of Hong Kong and the Cantonese people to you with an American influence. We welco…
Took a chance and tried this nice establishment, as we were in the mood for some righteous Chow Mein and Chow Fun.
It's hard to find proper Cantonese versions of both. Chow Mein is normally merely passable, with the horrid lo mein noodles raking up space in my gullet.
I was pleasantly surprised by the "craftsmanship" of both. very "wok-hei" when it arrived. Flavor was nostalgic, of SF Chinatown and the old-time Bay Area style of cooking .
The veggies were not my fave, stringy and a bit chewy, but that's ok. I just ate more noodles.
Sometimes I judge a Chinese restaurant by their tomato egg over rice dish. Not bad. A little salty, but it's ok, I just ate more noodles.
Overall, well done, Top Cafe. We'll be back.

The beef stew with radishes was the driest beef stew ive ever seen. Barely any stew and 2/3 of it was rice! 3 stars because there was a lot of chicken in the porridge... but only a couple slivers of abalone.

Had high hopes for this restaurant and ordered a lot of food. It tastes OK, but not as good as I imagined from the photos. <<taggedItemId=149276737>>
Beef & Egg with Ric<</taggedItemId>>e was probably the best. But was mostly rice.<<taggedItemId=149276893>>
Broccoli with Sugar Wine Garlic Sauc<</taggedItemId>>e and West Lake (Beef) Soup were good. <<taggedItemId=149276890>>
Chinese Sausage Stir Fried Cabbag<</taggedItemId>>e was a bit on the salty side, and I wasn't expecting the cabbage to be chopped so finely, especially if it's fresh cabbage.<<taggedItemId=2607162267>>
Shredded Chicken w/ Vegetables Pan Fried Noodl<</taggedItemId>>e was really just meh. Unfortunately with delivery the noodle was not crispy anymore (not restaurant's fault) but the chicken tasted a bit bland, not juicy at all.<<taggedItemId=359999265>>
Hong Kong-style Russian Borts<</taggedItemId>>h didn't include any meat, which I had expected from other restaurants, and was slightly spicy, which is again unexpected.

favorite late night Chinese spot, maybe just one of my favorite Chinese spots in the south bay. food is always consistent, delicious, and the staff is so sweet! love you guys!
their congee is always delicious, my favorite is Pork with Preserved Egg Porridge. they cook their Baby Bok Choy with Garlic Sauce to perfection. Beef & Egg with Rice is always perfectly silky and the meat tender. and Sweet & Sour Pork Chop always hits 🤤

Sweet & Sour Chicken portion was extremely disappointing for $16.95. Wonton Soup was ok. Taste was alright overall, but nothing to write home for a $30+ meal.
Had good expectations from their porridge and fried pork last time. Will probably just order those next time.
