I'd never had torchys until today. I got the taco of the month, the democrat, the street corn, and the queso. All in all, I'd give it an 8/10. The taco of the month was ok, 6/10, it was drenched in the sauce, which somewhat overpowered the rest removing any real flavor, and the shrimp was soggy. It has a lot, and one taco of it was plenty, but I wouldn't order it again. The democrat was an easy 8/10. The barbacoa was delicious, but not overpowered. You could still taste the onions and avocado, and it all worked together great. The only draw back is that it was very small, like it would be a great snack, a delicious snack, but if you only got 1 and nothing else you would likely not be full. The street corn is a 9-10/10. Genuinely, some of the best elote I've ever had. It has the traditional flavor of elote, while also giving a smokey barbeque flavor. And everything blended together perfectly. There was nothing incorporated that you couldn't taste. Finally the queso. First impressions was that it was watery and that concerned me, but after mixing it and actually tasting it it was decently thick and tasted wonderful. It's got a semi kick of heat to it, that isn't searing and spice intolerant people could probably handle. And, I only got a 1/2 portion, yet the amount of chips I got was insane. 7/10 for quality, quantity, and taste. Overall, 8 out of ten for torchys. Most definitely would recommend, and will order again.
