vegos is hands down the best vegan restaurant I have ever eaten at!!! the food is always fresh and flavorful. I have a hard time picking one item as my favorite, I love them all!!! Goin Back to Cali Burrito , Enchilada Plate, Stuffed Sopapilla, Philly and Sopa Fries are just delectable!!

This is the best vegan restaurant in Albuquerque. I was fond of the previous spinoff, Nobody Calls Me Chicken, and I am glad that much of the menu has been preserved. That said, I hope at some point they bring back the waffles. Those were delicious. Over time the restaurant has experimented with various new dishes, some of which have stayed on the menu. The most recent is the absolutely delicious chilaquiles. A couple years ago they had a brief special Corn Chowder with pepitas. I would love to see this return.
While I am a frequent satisfied customer, there are a couple areas where they could improve. First, their rice and beans have never been amazing. I often find the beans are slightly undercooked and not adequately seasoned. The rice can be fairly bland. I would love to see Vegos make refried beans, and experiment with seasoned yellow rice with peas and carrots, like my favorite Mexican joints. Additionally, they should allow a little more customization. Particularly for the New Mexican fare, the options are limited - I've always thought that the Sandía Burrito really suffers from the sweet potato fries, but there's no way to omit them, or substitute rice or French fries.
Finally, there are three items that would really round out the menu. First, they should make milkshakes. Second, they should have a taco option. They have all the fillings, so all it would take is putting it on the menu. Finally, i would love to see their take on chicken fried steak, breading seitan with green beans, corn, mashed potatoes and white gravy.

Absolutely delicious! Went out of my way back from Durango to Flagstaff to get food from here. So, so delicious. The Seitan and Tofu Scramble Burrito was good, the seitan has a bit of a fennel seed flavor (like pepperoni). My favorite was the soy curls in my Stuffed Sopapilla. I always, always go with green chili, and theirs is 10/10, like I remember growing up in ABQ. The fries with nacho cheese and green chili was great, I just wish I had gotten the nacho cheese/green chili on the side so it wouldn't have gotten a little soft on my ride to the park. The NCMC Sando with buffalo was way better than expected for a tofu sandwich. I got ranch on the side to add and it really elevated it. Their Sopapilla with "honey" is insanely good! But I do think it could be better if the sauce was a little thicker like real honey.

The Stuffed Sopapilla was excellent! I added the red bean quinoa mix. The Seitan burrito burrito was also very good. The seitan was well made. We tried both red and green chilis. Both were good but I personally preferred the green.
