Not what it used to be.
It's been a while since we've eaten at Vietopia, because we felt the quality had slipped.
Tonight I suggested Vietnamese, and saw Vietopia had a 4.7 rating. So, we decided to try it again.
The jalapeno salted chicken was only okay. The lack of sauteed vegetables was amazing to me. There was a lot of chicken, but very few vegetables. How is that possible? Aren't the vegetables the inexpensive part? And there was only one small sauce. Again, how do you eat that much chicken and rice, even without the vegetables, with only two tablespoons of sauce?
The crunchy egg rolls were also disappointing. The shrimp was a bit over powering,making me wonder if they were a bit old. Plus, the fish sauce was flavorless. On the plus side, the lettuce and vegetables were fresh and flavorful. But the lead is the egg roll, which disappointed.
Sorry to say it but we will not be ordering from Vietopia again.

Outside burned, inside undercooked, very dissatisfied with egg crepe (banh xeo). It not crispy like it's supposed to be because the batter was too thick and had too much flour than egg. I have never seen "orange" banh xeo. I would never visit this store again.
