Pretty good! The quality of the food is really great. Everything we had was delicious and tastes fresh. The portion size is a little small for the price. There are many places that have similar prices, same quality and taste, but give bigger portions. Would be an easy 5 star for me if the portion was bigger.

hands down the best ramen spot in Sacramento area, tied with ryujin, but washoku has more variety. Both places are super consistent, but washoku has a richer broth with a good mouthfeel. every bowl feels like it's expertly handcrafted with care just for you. My personal favorite items are the miso glazed bass, the seasonal chawanmushi, spicy tuna on crispy rice, yakitori, and any of the ramen. Even the sushi is good. Everything taste freshly made, the tempura shrimp in the sushi crisp. Their latest item is the chicken croquettes. Omg. best I ever had. I'm ruined. I won't be able to eat this anywhere else. the potatoes are so well seasoned I never use the provided sauce. lol
the chef cares, he would come out to make sure that you're enjoying the meal, and asked my opinion on things like whether I like the shrimp or scallop chawanmushi more. I appreciate that. Seriously try this place.

there are a lot of ramen places popping up all around Sac and EG. this one stands out. the noodles are delicious and fresh. reminds me of Sun Noodles. if you are a ramen fiend, you know what I am talking a out. the apps list is small but the yakitori offerings are flavorful. glad EG has a japanese comfort spot!

Found this by chance when a friend and I wondered if Elk Grove had any Japanese curry places. Went here an embarrassing amount of times because it was just too good. Chicken Katsu/fish curry is to die for, and the yuzu shio ramen is my personal favorite every time I go.

Japanese chicken curry here is definitely the best in sacramento/elk Grove only thing is I wish they would give you more chicken, the portion is small for the chicken... but other than that 10/10!
