Used to eat at my neighborhood location in NYC regularly. Glad that there is a location in the DMV! The [F6] Spicy & Sour Spinach Dumplings (7) were flavorful and filling. The spicy chili oil served with them was the perfect compliment. The [N1] Spicy Cumin Lamb Hand-Ripped Noodles were perfectly spicy and absolutely delicious. The portions of both items were generous. Oh, and the Chrysanthemum Tea was light and refreshing. Perfect meal! Will be coming back for more!

Noodles are very good but sauce is greasier than I've had from their other locations. Regular spicy has a decent kick so be prepared.
Do NOT recommend picking up at location. Parking is a mess and drivers are reckless in a small, potholed lot. Food was not ready on time and the one staff member disappeared from the window as I approached. There are no clear instructions about how to scan your phone to open the food lockers. Would recommend ordering delivery instead.

I missed Xi'an so so much since I left New York City, and the classic noodles were so nostalgic and tasty, just like I remembered. 10/10
Make sure to pour the oil from the packet all over your noodles, or else they'll be drier than you're used to. Even though I didn't notice that, they were still super warm and tasty

The food is packaged well. I got the lamb burger, the vegetable dumplings, and the lamb noodles. They had a numbing flavor as expected, but it needed more undertones. More cilantro, more garlic. For those reasons, I liked the vegetable dumplings the best out of the three items I ordered because they had a more balanced flavor profile. Maybe I should have gotten the spicy level, I got everything in regular spice. I am glad I tried it, but I wouldn't order from here again.
