We have been driving to Round Rock for medical treatments every weekday for five weeks now, so our pantry and refrigerator have kind of been on the bare side as we've been eating drive-thru food more than ever and we have just been too worn out from the heat and driving to order and pick up groceries. Much less cook anything. We ordered from this restaurant on Thursday night and we were looking for something to eat this afternoon. My husband asked me to look at Zum Edelweiss to see if they had the Cordon Blue listed on their menu. I guess some days they don't have the dish and I saw immediately they had it on their menu. So we had dinner at this restaurant night before last and we both decided to order from here again. Being gone most of the day during the past five weeks during the weekday's leaves little time to go get something that's not fast food for dinner. He enjoyed his Cordon Blue meal very much and the red cabbage was very delicious as well. He also enjoyed the mixed vegetables and said that they were very fresh tasting. I got the same thing again, but I always get the same thing, the Jagersnitzel which comes with a very generous amount of very large mushrooms in the gravy that are extremely fresh and very delicious. The Goulash Soup from this restaurant is amazing and the best we've ever had. The portions are HUGE , especially when many restaurants seem to be raising prices and the portions seem to be getting smaller. The Goulash Soup is a meal in itself. This time we had basically half of each meal leftover and we will be eating it tomorrow for dinner. We're getting back to our regular routine and I had no idea how worn out the treatments his Dr. had planned would wear us both down so much. I'm probably more worn down than he is from driving in the traffic and the heat.
I thought I had already tasted the best German food the last time we were in Fredericksburg, but little did I know it was actually less than four miles away from our home. Thank you so much to the staff at Zum Edelweiss for making this a very stress free weekend after a long five weeks of stressful days. Incredible food that's very affordable. I'm extremely impressed with this restaurant and how good the food is and how much you get for your money. Insane portion sizes.

As always great German food . The Mandarin Cream cake is the bomb! Hot and delicious, I'll be able to make 2 meals out of this. Also love the cucumber salad.

The Jagerschnitzel was extremely good as it always is. They have the largest piece of meat that I have ever seen in any German restaurant. We order from this restaurant a lot because it is really close to our house and it arrives very fast. It's also the best German food I've had in years. Very authentic and delicious. Great prices that are not overinflated by the restaurant like some of the other restaurants we have ordered from. The Goulash Soupis amazing. You get enough food that you can actually share it with your spouse. His favorite is the Goulash Soup and we usually have it the following day for lunch. The meat is so tender that it literally falls apart. The Goulash Soup is chocked full of meat and it's very tender and filling. The Green bean saladis one of my spouses favorites . The mushroom in the Extra gravy and the gravy you get with the Jagerschnitzel is chocked full of delicious and large pieces of mushroom. The best thing we have ordered through DoorDash yet. Always consistent and delicious. I love that this restaurant is so close to our house and it is so good. Thank you for making dinner such a delicious experience and for making incredible authentic German cuisine.

Well, as usual, the food was exceptional and it's the best German food in the area. The competitor is usually good, but it's not nearly as large of piece of schnitzel and it's more expensive for the food compared to Zum Edelweiss. The quality is not as good as well and I have to drive to pick it up, but even if I could get it delivered, I would still order from Zum Edelweiss for the authentic quality of thier food. We decided that we would split the Jagerschnitzel dinner as the piece of Schnitzel is huge. I ordered the Jagerschnitzel with the traditional sides and a we added a couple of sides that my husband likes better than the ones I like. He really likes the Red cabbage and the Green bean salad and his favorite is the Goulash Soup. Especially when it starts getting colder outside. The Goulash Soup is incredible and this is the only restaurant that I have ever had Goulash Soup at locally. It's full of tender and delicious meat. Basically , it's been awhile since we have ordered from this authentic restaurant and we just had a craving for a good German meal. I have also picked this up from the restaurant a couple of times as it's really close to our house and it's the best value and closest restaurant for DoorDash to deliver to our neighborhood. I added some specific instructions without any issues. I really appreciate the staff for honoring my special instructions. It's really great to have an option for food delivery in our neighborhood now than just Pizza.
